A round ball of a bird, this quail is quite stylish in its complex and colorful outfit. These ground birds are delightful to watch walking through fields of grass waggling their topknots. Traveling in groups, they converse with one another in a series of 3 notes.

Needle felting is a process where strong and solid shapes are made by plunging a barbed needle plunged into wool, permanently entangling it. This dry process allows for a great amount of detail. Mounted on hand harvested driftwood, it sits solidly on any table. What’s not to love?
